What is coaching?

Did you know that coaching is the second fastest growing industry in the U.S. today? Finding a coach to help navigate life’s changes provides an opportunity to look at things from a different perspective and unlock what is keeping you stuck. It provides a safe space to discover WHY you are where you are, and with achievable action steps in order to create what you want for your precious life. 

If your goal is to get in better physical shape, you might hire a personal trainer.  Think of this as the same commitment. If you desire a better life, a boundary coach is your guide and partner. 

How is coaching different from therapy?

In my experience, therapy is mostly focused on understanding your past and how it got you to the present. It is designed to help you heal from experiences and traumas.

Coaching is more forward thinking. It focuses on getting from the present to your empowered future. A coach is someone you work with to develop a step-by-step action plan to achieve what you desire. While we will look at various things from your past in order to gain an understanding, we don’t stay stuck there. A coach will be your accountability partner in applying new life skills so that you take ownership of your future.

What is the time commitment?

The time commitment is different depending on which package you choose. We will meet each week for 60-75 minutes for a 1:1 call. There may be assigned readings or journaling between sessions, but this is something we decide together. Like anything of value, the more you invest in your growth and transition, the faster and more effective it will be.

How do I contact you in between sessions?

You will have access to my coaching email that I check multiple times each day. I answer emails in a timely manner and am happy to also schedule a quick call if needed for clarification or support. I am here to be your partner and I take that role seriously.

What if I have to reschedule a session?

You will have access to my coaching calendar and can certainly change your session time if needed. If you need to reschedule, I just ask that you give me 24 hours notice except in cases of emergency where that is not possible. In order to reach your goals, it is important to stay committed to the process.

Do you offer one-off coaching sessions?

I offer a FREE one hour complimentary coaching session for potential clients. The only way to really know if coaching is for you is to experience it first hand. This gives us both the opportunity to see if we are the right fit for each other. 

Other than the complimentary coaching session, I only offer coaching packages. It is simply not possible to make the changes you want to achieve in one session. (Just like you can’t get into shape with one trip to the gym.) This is a process.

Who is coaching for?

Coaching is for anyone who is ready and open to change. If we can count on anything in life, it is that things will continue to shift and evolve. If you need a partner to navigate these changes with, coaching is for you.

What if I don’t know which coaching package is right for me?

Schedule a call and let’s talk about it! Once I am clear what your goals are, we can make a determination together as to what approach to take. Ultimately, my desire is for you to get what you need out of our sessions together. If a particular program doesn’t work for you, we can customize our time together.
